| The five Robin Hood figures by Marx were never actually called Disneykins but are considered as such. They are actually king-sized (60mm scale). They were briefly sold in both America and Europe in 1973 following the release of the Disney animated feature film ROBIN HOOD. The figure set is one of the last in the great line of plastic, hand-painted Disney character figures made by Marx. The Robin Hood set was manufactured after the company was sold by Louis Marx to Quaker Oats in 1972. Their genealogy is sketchy despite their early 1970s vintage. They appear to have been available only in playset packagingand are extremely uncommon.

Robin Hood Series Packaging:
- Robin Hood Playset Box - contained all five figures in a colorful window display box. The box bears a modernized 1970's Marx Toys logo as well as listing Marx as "A Quaker Oats Company."
The existence of a second playset or additional figures has been noted although never seen by this author. |
