Other JUNGLE BOOK Series Packaging:
These figures were mostly martketed as a mail-in offer, however other box formats exist but are very scarce and possibly only sold in England and Western Europe.
JUNGLE BOOK Gift Box Set – a flat rectangular box with all seven figures and a few additional animals inset in molded plastic holder (from 1968).
JUNGLE BOOK Playset – a large box with all seven figures in a jungle setting with flats (The only example of this package format that the author is aware of came from the Marx warehouse liquidation in the late 1980s in England).
This completely new Series made its debut in 1967 to coincide with the original theatrical release of THE JUNGLE BOOK. The individual figures seem to have been originally marketed only through a promotional tie-in offer from Royal Gelatin in the U.S. To get the figures a child sent in 25 cents and a Royal Gelatin box top for three Jungle Book Disneykins. While there are only seven character figures in the set, the figures came with additional miniature jungle animals in other packaging formats.
